Southern Village is holding its first ever homemade Valentines Card contest. Participants are encouraged to exercise their creativity, and may enter as many times as they wish. Winners will be chosen in adult and youth categories. Cards can be “mailed” at specially decorated “mailboxes” in any one of the 14 participating businesses in Southern Village. If you want to give a gift for any occasion, but are not really sure what to give, and if you want to support your local Southern Village businesses, how about a Market $treet Money gift certificate? Gift certificates can be purchased at the Southern Village Harrington Bank in either $10 or $25 denominations and are accepted at most of the businesses in the Market Street business district, including the Lumina Theatre. The Parking Lot Committee of the SVHOA would like to inform you that the Public Hearing for the proposed hotel in Southern Village is scheduled for Wednesday, January 21st at 7:00PM at the Chapel Hill Town Hall 405 Martin Luther King Jr Blvd.
