The SVHOA Board of Directors have been asked to revise the neighborhood rules regarding landscaping of the boulevard strip (the area between the sidewalk & the street). Because of this request the Board created a Guideline Committee to review & make recommendations.
After several months of work, the Guideline Committee’s draft of the boulevard strip rules is finished & ready for review. It is posted below. Please review & send your comments to bod@southernvillage.org.

Last night, our neighbor Erin Furr turned over the chair of Southern Village Community Watch (SVCW) to Lewis Tisher. Erin started SVCW over three years ago. She started it from the ground up & has supported it each day since. All of us in Southern Village are better off because of the tireless work that Erin has done. Thank you Erin!

The first scheduled meeting for the proposed development near Southern Village will be tomorrow night, Wednesday, April 21st. The concept plan will be presented to the Chapel Hill Community Design Commission for comments. The meeting will be held at Town Hall, 405 Martin Luther King Jr. Drive, beginning @ 7pm.

Long standing SVHOA member, Southern Village Club, is pleased to announce it will re-open its pool for the summer season on Saturday, May 1st @ 12noon. For adults, the pool will be available for swimming for the entire months of May, June, July, August & September.
To celebrate, the Club is inviting all residents of Southern Village to come visit during on May 1st and/or May 2nd for no charge. Simply come to the Club, tell the attendant you live in Southern Village & gain entry.
